OceanLife Volume III is a hybrid CD ROM for Macintosh and Windows personal computers, this CD includes over one-and-a-half hours of original, narrated underwater video, photography and extensive information on the tropical reefs of Hawaii. More than 90 species of Hawaiian fishes are found on this CD. Learn more about the Hawaiian archipelago by exploring the topographical and relief maps of the region. New in this issue is an easy-to-use visual index of families and phyla of Hawaiian marine life.
OceanLife Volume III follows on Sumeria’s first two volumes in the series: OceanLife Volume I: Southwestern Pacific and OceanLife Volume II: Micronesia. The Great Barrier Reef, the fourth volume of the series, is in production, making the OceanLife series the most comprehensive reference and entertainment product on the subject of marine life available on CD ROM.
OceanLife Volume III features comprehensive text, range maps, photographs, and full color video for over 90 species and multi-mode access that lets you browse by photo, name or keyword. Unique interactive maps of the Hawaiian archipelago provide bathymetric and topographical information for the reefs of Hawaii. An expanded interactive morphology section details anatomical variations that help aquarists and divers identify species. Other features include text search and movie and text export. As with all Sumeria products, the movies on this CD may be re-used with any QuickTime-compatible application.
